Gennie advises individuals and families on estate and tax planning, trust and estate administration, and probate matters.  She assists clients in forming and implementing comprehensive estate plans to address each client’s unique circumstances.  She prepares estate planning documents that reduce or defer estate tax liability, provide for special needs beneficiaries while protecting their entitlement to government benefits, provide for heirs with creditor or substance abuse issues, and create limited liability companies to protect family assets.  Gennie advises clients on estate administration issues including probate and trust administration, prenuptial and postnuptial marital agreements, guardianship and conservatorship actions, and the preparation of gift and estate tax returns. 

Gennie is an alumna of the University of Tennessee where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and graduated summa cum laude.  She received her Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude, from the University of Tennessee College of Law.  While in law school, Gennie served as Editor-in-Chief of Transactions:  The Tennessee Journal of Business Law and served as a Student Materials Editor for the Tennessee Law Review.  Professionally, Gennie is on the Board of Directors for the Savannah Estate Planning Council, the Savannah Community Foundation, and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire.  She is a member of the Advisory Board for The Salvation Army of the Coastal Empire and St. James Catholic School.  She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Savannah.  Gennie is licensed to practice in both Georgia and Tennessee.
