Roy is a partner in the firm and has over 35 years of experience in a number of areas including Commercial Litigation, Estate & Probate Litigation, Alternate Dispute Resolution, Construction Law, and Personal Injury.  Roy graduated cum laude from University of Georgia School of Law where he served on the Editorial and Managing Board of the Georgia Law Review. Roy has been practicing in Savannah, Georgia since the summer of 1983 when he completed his clerkship with the Honorable Dudley H. Bowen, Jr., United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia. Roy has been admitted to practice in the Superior and State Courts of Georgia since 1981 and has also been admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Georgia and the Georgia Court of Appeals. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern District of Georgia as well as the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He is also a member of the Court of Claims.

Roy is a frequent lecturer on construction, probate and commercial law topics.  Roy is also a registered arbitrator and mediator with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution and regularly conducts mediations through Miles Mediation & Arbitration.  He has been selected as a Georgia Super Lawyer in the area of business litigation and is rated “AV” Preeminent by his peers according to Martindale Hubbell.
